Being a huge fan of the film, it's probably no surprise that Playtech's Gladiator Slots
(there are two: the "normal" one and "Gladiator Jackpot" which incidentally,
has a lower RTP by about 2.5%!) were going to get me to part with my cash. And they did - for
a while at least!
And I have to say, although I thought no online slot would ever tempt me away from my favourite
Thunderstruck slot, I was wrong.
Playtech's Gladiator slot looks awesome and I played it solidly when it came out in 2008. The novelty
has worn off a bit now, but mainly because new slots have come along and grabbed my attention. And there is
only so much time in my day (and money in my bank account!).
What sets Gladiator apart from most other games is not just the awesome soundbites and the video interludes from Ridley
Scott's epic film, but the free spins bonus round is pretty unique albeit with a nod to
Novomatic's Book Of Ra with the expanding
scatter idea! Triggered by getting 3 (or more) Colosseum scatter symbols in view, you randomly
get awarded an extra scatter symbol which can really pay out big, as the
Gladiator Slots Gallery will prove! It doesn't happen often, but when it does...!
Gladiator also has a second bonus round - the "Gladiator Bonus" which is a nice bit of eye candy, but
doesn't pay back in the same way. This is trigerred when the 3 Wild symbols appear anywhere on reels
2,3 and 4 together. You get 9 Galdiator helmets and each one reveals a prize of either 1x, 3x or 5x
your total bet. I've noticed that, depending where you play Gladiator, a predicatble pattern emerges
on this bonus which is presumably geared up to the RTP, a standard 94% at all the casinos that have it.
The winning screenshots you see on this site are mostly from the excellent
Bet365 Casino which
has Gladiator in both the Download and Flash version of it's casino although for the fastest cashouts
I play regularly at Tote Casino.

Like Gladiator, the Kong slot is a licence from the motion picture company MGM. So as you

About Gladiator |
For the record, Gladiator is a 25 line video slot with wild symbols on reels 2,3 and 4 which
also trigger the "Gladiator Bonus". It has a Colosseum scatter symbol, 3 or more of which
trigger the free spins bonus. You pick several blocks to reveal your free spins and multiplier.
Sometimes Gladiator only gives you 12 spins at 2x but at other times it will give you between 7 and
9 free spins with an extra scatter symbol and occasionally, an extra wild symbol. This is where the
big payouts come into play if you get lucky.
I guess if I exude too much enthusiasm for the Playtech Gladiator slot then you'll
probably come back and berate me when you realise just how streaky this slot can be. Fwiw, I normally
play Gladiator at either Tote casino
or the popular Bet365 casino, but
any of the online casinos listed in the grid above have the Gladiator slot game and are also very
